Bout of Books

Just a quick update to say that I am planning to participate in’Bout of Books’ this month, which starts on Monday 22nd August. It’s my first proper week off I’ve had in ages, what with full time at work and an internship after that, so I am definitely excited to get back into reading.

If you don’t know anything about this read-a-thon, read their description here:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 22nd and runs through Sunday, August 28th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 17 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

Bout of Books

I haven’t organised a TBR yet, and I think I’ll just go with the flow and read whatever I feel like at the moment – but the goal is to try and read two books, maybe three, during the week. Seeing as the last physical book I read took me two weeks, I feel this is an acceptable goal. I’m currently reading Illuminae (and it’s bloody fantastic) so I’m hoping to at least finish that and maybe one other in the week.

Fingers crossed for a great week, and let me know if you’re joining in as well!

I've been writing since I was a small child and, even though I was about as good as I was tall (not very), I loved it anyway. My dream is to be a full time writer, hopefully writing books of my own one day in the (hopefully) not too distant future. I'm 20 now and would appreciate any feedback you're happy to give. Alwayslovetowrite started as a place to share bits of my novel writing, and has now turned into a true blog where I rant, rave, mope, laugh, and talk about whatever is on my mind - some days, that's not much. As a book fanatic (I love to write them and read them), I started Alwayslovetoreadalot which is solely for chatting about books, from reviews to wrap ups, to me daydreaming about the good ol' days of story time, to talking about how bookmarks save lives. So come say hi, leave a comment (and a like if you're feeling super generous), and I hope you stick around to watch me flail through life and try to stay (somewhat) sane.
